Wise Landscaping – Creating A WoodStone Landscape
Designing and planning your own “wise landscaping” project can be a very fun and rewarding process! The first steps of the process… gathering ideas, taking measurements and getting it all down on paper… will help you visualize what your landscape might look like when it’s finished.
Gather, Design, Install and Enjoy!
Doing this part of the process yourself can also save you some money, especially if you’re a “Do-It-Yourselfer”. But, even if you plan to hire a landscape designer or contractor to design and install your dream landscape for you, the more research you do and the better prepared you are, the less time the designer/contractor will have to invest in the planning stages of your landscape project… You never, know, saving them time may save you some money!

Gather
…ideas and inspiration!

Design
…your Dream Landscape.

Install
…a Low-Maintenance Landscape.

The main steps of creating a WoodStone landscape are to “gather, design and install” as outlined above. The only remaining step of the process is simply to ENJOY your beautiful new, low-maintenance landscape for years to come!
Installing your landscape project yourself can also save you a bundle. However, installing often requires a lot of good old fashioned “elbow grease”. It may or may not be something you want to tackle based on the size or difficulty of the project, your own landscaping/gardening experience and, of course, your physical capabilities or limitations.
If you’re up for the task and confident that you have the right experience, though, installing your own landscape (or helping with certain parts of the process) gives you the opportunity to control (and enjoy!) more of the creative process and the outcome… while potentially saving money in the process!
Whether you prefer a traditional landscape (with an expansive yard for the kids or grandkids to play in for hours on end) or a Xeriscape (lawnless or minimal grass yard area with all the beautiful water saving drought resistant flowers and plants scattered beautifully throughout your landscape) or any landscape style in-between, incorporating WoodStone into almost any landscape design or style can help you save water and irrigation costs, reduce maintenance (especially weeding!) and will save you money every year by eliminating the need, cost and hassle of replacing landscape bark!
