Last month, lightening struck a tree very close to the house during the early morning hours in the midst of a wild and crazy thunderstorm… bringing us out of a sound sleep very, very quickly!

I just came across photos that I had taken the following day so I thought I’d post them 🙂  The last photo in the photo gallery below is of the large mud puddle Jesse dipped water out of to put out the fire that was still burning down in the roots of the tree the next morning.
